Suggestions for improvement
- I felt that much of the staff did not value professionalism. I felt as if I were back in high school most of the time when dealing with my co-workers. It was unfair at times because supervisors played favorites and allowed those who had personal relationships with them to get away with things, such as coming into work extremely late or not at all and leaving the premises once at work. The program manager seemed to want nothing to with certain workers and even had a bit of an attitude at times. The higher ups should be professional at all times, set examples, and treat all workers the same.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed working without much supervision. I also enjoyed working with many of the kids. I grew closer to some more than others, and some really did touch my heart.
What I dislike about the company
The high school culture. Some workers had bad attitudes and seemed to always be on their phones. I would come into work sometimes and everyone would be downstairs, not monitoring the kids. If you weren't open to getting personal and gossiping about other workers, you were viewed as an outsider.
