If you read the book gou expect a great culture. When you work there you realize its a bunch of hocus pocus
Support from management
They only help you if it helps the company. Not much leniency for changing scheduals or appointments. They make you cover your own shift even if they were the ones who made it inconvenient initially.
They wait untill the day of to tell you of a schedual change or a cancelled shift
Overall compensation for your work
They say they pay higher than average. Not true. You get the same pay from a competitor
Office / Work Environment
They hire mainly for truck unloads and those will break your back. They keep pusing you untill someone gets hurt. Not for the faint of heart
Yes, its retail. But they change your schedual constantly every week. Theres no consistency and your work shift can range from 3 hr days 14 days straight or 9 hr days. They dont consider about your personal life
They are always on fortune top 100 companies. The trick is they select who they give the survey too and they collect it from you and choose to send it themselves if they like what it says. The form clearly states to put it in the mail yourself. The company wants it back so they can screen it. Very dirty tactics
They constantly hire new people due to high turnover. They will cut your hours to give to the new people even if your a good worker. They dont value their employees.
If you work truck, your gonna get hurt.
What I dislike about the company
They treat you like robots. They take the "retail" schedual way to far. They have a lot of 3 hour shifts and they work you sometimes 2 weeks striaght without days off. They will cancel or change your shift whenever they want. And they love doing split shifts. (I.e. 3 hr shift in the morning and 3 hr shift late at night.
