Not at all.
Support from management
No support or help from above. You will expect to have their back, but also expect to be thrown under the bus for their decisions.
Freedom to work independently
You can expect to do all the work with no Thank You's, while management takes the praise for your work and ideas.
None, do your work and don't ask questions.
Attitude towards older colleagues
If you have been there a long time, you have worn out your welcome. They will force you out.
They do not help to advance women.
Overall compensation for your work
Starting out yes, but after they put you on a pedestal you can expect to stay there with no increases. NO benefits other than 401k and an insurance incentive.
They sure promise a lot when you are hired, but if you are a woman and need time off, prepare to be scrutinized.
No one I know speaks fondly of working there.
Don't get comfortable.
You will feel great when you accomplish a task that you were assigned to do, especially after doing your supervisors job as well.
Inclusive / Diverse
If the idea comes from your head, it is not a good idea, until it is thought of by a superior. Then it is a fabulous idea.
Suggestions for improvement
- Since this is a good ole boy company, maybe only men should work there. The General Board needs to take action and get rid of the Executive Management Committee and hire a personnel director to keep everyone in line and following the same rules.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
You were evaluated by a supervisor that had no idea what your job entailed. You were chastised for speaking to other employees in a friendly manner. You are demoted for other's expressions and outbursts. You are expected to back the management 100% whether you agree with them or not. You are not allowed to speak to Board Members directly. Employee reviews are done with you, the Board Members, and an Executive Management leader in the room to monitor what is said to the Board Members. The rules are different for each employee, there is no consistency.
