Support from management
Management didn't care about or try to understand what goes on in the field. They had very unrealistic goals
Suggestions for improvement
- Understand what you are expecting from those in the field and practice what you preach. Be approachable, listen and have empathy. Staff changes constantly, and you never feel like you have job stability or long term employment. They expect you to use your own car for your work and you are only given a mileage allowance. There are days where I put 60 miles on my car going from client to office to client etc. They are very unrealistic on time to turn in paperwork as they want you in the field but demand daily paperwork. Home Visitation Supervisor was a joke. Her first management position and she was absolutely clueless.
What I like about the company
I liked working with the families. I know I made a difference and I am proud of what I accomplished
What I dislike about the company
Management Sucks! Management does not try to work with or understand those in the field and sets unrealistic goals. They play their favorites and if you are not one you are treated differently. The Home Visitation lead was very close to management and got lots of extra perks (like time off to go to school, do homework/paperwork at office) where others didn't. If you challenged or questioned you were let go. The center Manager was very unapproachable and gave everyone an attitude unless you were part of her group.
