In-house management tends to work in unison with staff members, & it almost becomes a second family.
Support from management
Higher up management does not give the feeling that they value their employees.
seasoned employees work great together & work is done seamlessly.
Freedom to work independently
Lower lever employees rarely are given a voice or opportunity to voice opinions, & when they are it is almost never taken seriously.
Communication can some times become muddled, & be forced to build up until staff meetings.
Inequality in the workplace is something that I never witnessed while employed by this company.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most colleagues get along, & friendships are often formed.
There is always room for growth, & it is encouraged by trainings, and trial opportunities.
Overall compensation for your work
Salaries are always paid on time, & pay was never an issue for myself. Overtime is always available to those who want it.
Office / Work Environment
The company keeps the working conditions in great shape, & the maintenance team does a great job taking care of what needs to be fixed.
The company is very involved in the community, raising awareness, & integrating the program participants into mainstream society.
Hours are long, and work is hard. But this is to be expected in the field. However, certain people will become stuck at work when others don't come in, & good staff are commonly overworked. Pay does tend to be above par for the work you do.
I was always proud of my job & the work that I did.
It's cut & dry: do what you're supposed to & you'll always have a job.
The main aspect of the job is caring for the disabled, so accessibility resources are always available.
Safety of employees as well as patients is always the most important thing when working at the JRC.
Most days are rewarding & the program participants become a very active part of your life.
Inclusive / Diverse
Company is 110% diverse & there is 0 tolerance for rude, or disrespectful behavior.
What I like about the company
Working for this company was a great learning experience, as well as a wonderful life experience. Some things were not so good (as with any job) but I do lot regret my time at the JRC.
What I dislike about the company
I feel like there should be less of a divide between the direct support proffesionals & the people working in the offices.
