The schedule was never consistent, and you were given false promises about work atmosphere, schedule, and classes teaching.
Support from management
The owner was not accomodating to the staff. Nor was he present to answer concerns from clients or team members.
The collegues worked hard. The high turnover rate made it hard for everyone to trust their work ethics.
Freedom to work independently
The owner was never satisfied with employee's work, nor did he allow you to do your job without adding more work.
Employees were not given the same pay rate, and the owner discriminated pay based on gender. The same level of expertise and job title were given different pay. Males receive higher pay, frequent raises and promotion.
Owner did not take in consideration personal matters and sick days. The hours given were often changed and you could be asked to come in at multiple points in the day.
The training was not sufficient and spotting of gymnastics skills were taught improperly. This caused trainers and students potential injuries.
Suggestions for improvement
- The owner needs to be honest about what to expect from the job, and provide sufficient training. Also be upfront about the actual hours you can receive and the constant changing of the schedule
What I like about the company
I liked my colleagues and teaching the children
What I dislike about the company
I did not care for the management style, the lack of hours recieved, the insufficient pay, inflexible hours, and the strict curriculm.
