- The Lodge at Torrey Pines01.Dec 2016
The Customer Service Department for which I worked is a great group of people. Unfortunately, people devote YEARS of their lives to this company… YEARS… Co-workers KNOW what goes on within the Team. After devoting YEARS of time to a The Lodge at Torrey Pines, NO ONE in UPPER MANGEMENT would acknowledge someone leaving… this is SAD…
Support from management
I think that the workers often CARE more about what goes on at the Hotel, genuinely, that the management does, as they are involved directly with the guests on a first-hand basis. I do not think that the management is open to hearing the suggestions of the service team. On occasion, those jobs have been threatend for HONEST errors, without an employee's feedback actually being HEARD.
Overall compensation for your work
This position, and the responsibility entailed, required a higher pay scale.
Many times, shifts would be several DAYS IN A ROW… 7,8,9,10… with NO DAYS OFF…
I am extremely PROUD of the work that I did while working at the Lodge. I was routinely complemented by the guests.
Inclusive / Diverse
It was a VERY unique position I held; I LOVED working as a driver. The management needed to be more open to LISTENING to the feedback of the guests, which was POSITIVE.
