The McLean Hospital Corporation experience report

McLean Fernside was a toxic place to work. Leadership was ineffective in creating a safe work environment for staff.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would change the culture of the institution. This has to start with management. If management fostered a healthy workplace, it would trickle down. Employees who sought help from the director would quickly be dismissed. A system of fairness should be instituted as the facility valued favorability versus fairness.

What I like about the company

The positive aspects were working with clientele. Otherwise, I wouldn't remark anything positive about working here.

What I dislike about the company

The leadership was very weak. Managers were inappropriate. There was no sense of respect for lower-tiered employees. The environment was very toxic and negative, which was ironic considering the aim of the facility is to help patients fight through their own troubles.
