Suggestions for improvement

  • Incentives for working overtime... like $200 a day plus time and a half...

What I like about the company

Just average workplace. Typical for most hospitals.

What I dislike about the company

Required overtime when understaffed. This is done without any benefits to the employees (except for overtime pay)

Suggestions for improvement

  • It would be beneficial for the company to do more in ways of rewarding staff members for their contributions. Providing challenges between departments usually always gets the morale up and encourages employees to work together for a common goal. Providing fun and entertaining events promotes an enjoyable work environment. Giving employees a place to eat their lunch away from the patients, as well as a place to smoke would be beneficial.

What I like about the company

I work for a hospital. We treat patients at their worst. The environment in which I work is supportive and communicates well. The staff are always willing to lend a helping hand. The resources for patients and family members are readily accessible. We are a non-profit facility that sets out to make patients better no matter the cost. I love my job and would be willing to do anything for my coworkers.

What I dislike about the company

The management is separated from the staff, without providing the positive feedback that would benefit the employees as well as the constructive criticism. Most times The management is not on the floor working closely with the staff, but attending meetings or doing clerical work that pulls them from their employees. Most members of management would not be able to perform the duties that their staff are required, which creates a lack of respect.
