Freedom to work independently
Fairly good with communicating, has some room to grow.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I didn't really see this in my department.
Overall compensation for your work
No. I went to college for what I did and got paid basically minimum wage. Didn't even see a good increase in pay for the 2 years working there.
Office / Work Environment
Worked in an old building, not good temperature control, sneezed all the time, when it rained water would drip through the ceiling and would only patch up with plastic. But we got new chairs.
Recycling bins, but prints everything.
Somewhat good in this area. Not always good for figuring out fair hours.
I'm proud that I'm not not working there, ha.
I don't remember bathrooms on the main floors.
Not sure, I was sitting at a desk, but did have to "watch" and "read" safety protocols.
Inclusive / Diverse
Not quite sure.
Suggestions for improvement
- Oh, I put that in the other question. Woops, haha.
What I like about the company
Good for growing in a fast paced environment. Will definitely teach you how to meet deadlines and manage time correctly. Co-workers are nice and fun to be around. Good amount of employee appreciation events. Christmas presents. Good benefits, if you can afford it.
What I dislike about the company
Management in my department wanted to be one of the gang and wasn't the best at actually managing. I'd suggest of being fair minded and learning how to delegate tasks, have meetings when all employees are working (not including sick or vacation). Watch all employees equally (lots of co-workers would play on phone when the manager would leave and I would pick up slack). Other co-workers would do bare minimum of work to get by, I'd suggest working ahead when in a slump, makes life easier. To the iwner, fix all problems in the building. Leaky roof, temperature problems (more air ducts), try to get more parking spaces or offer to buy parking passes. I had accrued a LOT of parking tickets during busy times. They're your employees, you should be responsible for finding then places to park so they can work for you, not spend what little money they make to get a pass.
