Support from management
Very enthusiastic iniatially, relationship deteriorated, equipment broken, needed repairs, never fixed, made my work more difficult, stopped paying me after certain hour.
Younger staff did, but my shift had all the cleaning up to do. And it was ok to take their
tips out of cash register.
Freedom to work independently
Challenges yes, there were many.
I don't know.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I don't know.
Overall compensation for your work
Considering the work load the pay was not enough.
Office / Work Environment
On very warm days it was too warm in the store, ac often a prob. The customers complained about it also.
For boxes yes.
Cut back my hours in the end.
I was initially.
It closed several months later.
No need for ramps, bathroom plenty large enough.
Not that I recall.
I was, I did the best I could considering the situation. It was a learning experience.
Inclusive / Diverse
We didn't have many meetings so I was unaware of diverse ideas that were supported.
Suggestions for improvement
- I think it could be fixed and made into a success. It was a great location, great idea for a store and it's a shame it couldn't make any money.
- Have a mix of employees, experienced (not their first food industry and age range-more responsible). Make sure climate control temperature is priority- i.e. melting food.
What I like about the company
What I dislike about the company
Errors in pay, rotten produce, hard to find balance in sharing a fair workload. Stopped paying me after certain hour. Fired my co-worker without telling me.
