I like about the employer
Beautiful buildings and grounds. Many lovely, dedicated, professional people to work with and for. Regular paychecks and health insurance available. Flex hours for some positions (where practical). On-site housing is provided for some of the staff, where it makes sense as this is a senior living resort and it's practical to have employees available beyond just 9-5.
I dislike about the employer
1. Many sudden terminations. Every month or two, another excellent, dedicated, professional worker there would suddenly be let go and management would not explain. It made it hard to feel like any of our jobs were stable.
Lots of their residents had complaints that were poorly addressed, such as " can't management empty the dog poop containers more often along our walk ways" or "can't management clear the ice so the elderly residents can safely walk to dinner." It felt as if many people who lived there, would not have chosen to live there had things been presented honestly when they came to check it out. Lock into a contract, and then good luck getting your needs met.
