The immediate supervisor there can not be trusted.
Support from management
My immediate manager could not be trusted since he would often undercut me at every opportunity. At one point when he told a customer wrong information, he came in my office and told me that if the owner of the company asked about the situation, that this is the "story" that we were supposed to tell him. I knew then that he was throwing me under the bus and could not be trusted further.
You can not trust the information you are being told there.
Their is no future career path for a person here, as well as a complete lack of training.
Life outside of work is highly frowned upon there.
The image they try to portray is very different from the reality.
There is no job security whatsoever.
Suggestions for improvement
- The owner needs to take a serious look at what is going on in his company, he is too much in the dark about the reality of the situation. He also needs to look at the managers he brings on board, some, as mentioned above, can not be trusted.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed the other people that I worked with for the most part.
What I dislike about the company
My immediate manager could not be trusted. He would often look for the opportunity to undercut me. He seemed insecure and seemed threatened that I might want his position, which I never did. After telling a customer misinformation, he came in my office and told me that if the owner ever asked about the situation that this is the "story" we needed to tell him. At this point, I realized that he was throwing me under the bus.
