Most people did not speak positively about the company, although there were many people who made good friendships during their employment. There was an overall negative culture at The Rawlings Company.
The company is set up as an every-employee-for-themselves environment, which hampered real teamwork.
Freedom to work independently
Most employees were highly micro- managed, and felt that creativity was prevented.
More hours were always encouraged, although it was a salary plus commission job. The extra time often didn't correlate to extra pay.
The biggest challenge was someone's working with other departments that dictated your pay.
Inclusive / Diverse
All ideas originated with the owner/president, and were dictated down to all employees. The only ideas and values given any attention were typically those of the president. This was micro management at its worst!
