- The San Francisco Dungeon29.Nov 2016
The atmosphere was very hostile when I arrived. It got slightly better after the overbearing, ignorant general manager quit but my direct manager was pretty abusive still. The corporate culture the company tried to inspire was shipped to us from overseas and it was clear hq didn't care and was woefully out of touch.
Support from management
A few of the hr people were good but the turnover rate was really high so they hardly stayed long enough to learn the ropes
Teamwork within each dept was sometimes good but support from other departments was nonexistent.
Freedom to work independently
We were constantly micromanaged and reviewed by people who had never done and didn't understand our jobs.
They did not enforce the recycling policy at all and only even talked to us about it once in the time I was there.
I spent all my time, couldn't afford food and was constantly ill from the work environment
Good global reputation as far as I'm aware.
They made it very clear we were not valued and should stay on our toes. Except when sexual harassment complaints came up. Then they never got around to firing anyone.
For guests yes, but they would not hire a handicapped employee. It would be very difficult to work there handicapped.
Some employees handle the props (large metal hooks etc) very haphazardly, the environment is very unhealthy, one of the broken rides floods the place occasionally. The company seems to care very little.
Inclusive / Diverse
They tried. Their advertising material ranged in degrees of racism though.
