Suggestions for improvement
- Giving the employ's more time to prep for the next project and improving on shift communication skills and not over booking g the job task schedule when the holiday seasons come around unless they are willing to hire seasonal workers to make up for the amount of work that needs to get done. we are limited on staff in each shift so when additional work comes along it sometimes eats into our brakes time or requires use to stay overtime. Having more hands on deck will help us to work more efficiently and let the employs to have the brakes needed to have energy to finish a 10 hr shift. on the bright side we do get payed over time when we are asked to stay until a task is complete
What I like about the company
I have been working at SFNM for 15 months now and have found it exciting to work in the production department. I have been given great opportunities to learn about and excel at my. This company shows appetition to hard and dedicated workers treating them well and gives use very opportunity to move up in rank within the company. I was only working their 4 months when they asked if I would like a promotion to a position that pays more and is in a some what authority tip roll. I love being able to learn more about my job and how the newspaper is ran after the people who write the articles and take the pictures are done with their work. My Job is to work on industrial machines and make sure a quality printed newspaper is sent out to readers everyday.
What I dislike about the company
I cant say that I disapprove of SFNM I have had nothing of positive interactions with everyone at the company even the owners. if I had to disapprove of anything it would be how slow pace it is for the compony to get the parts we need to make the machines run properly to help us to do our work well in the production department, but I also know it is not easy finding part replacements any more since the newspaper industry is slowly fading away.
