Suggestions for improvement
- In the real world, when efforts fail, upper management suffers the consequences, and aren't massively rewarded for statistically insignificant gains. Funds spent on legions of paper pushers at the district office could be far better spent in the classrooms, or on duplicating rigorous academic programs that WORK, rather than pushing an agenda that can only be described as 'pass as many students as we can, regardless of whether they can function or not""
What I like about the company
Although the system is dysfunctional, there are many wonderful people working at the school I am teaching at. We all tend to be rather supportive and help one another make the best of a less than stellar situation
What I dislike about the company
Upper management relies upon "data"" to make their decisions, so midlevel managers try everything possible to make their data look good. This results in MASSIVE grade inflation for a population of students who really aren't learning much except how to game the system to get rewarded for NO effort and NO skills"
