- The Schulman and Schachne Adult Day Health Care Program24.Apr 2019
Support from management
None at all, it was a run and hide situation when the Director was treated poorly. This Director was very knowledgeable and compassionate and built the program.
Freedom to work independently
Was OK, I was involved and the work was not the issue. The cut throat politics and the sell out of the Director was the issue.
Not honest and gave up on a good director. False promises and assurances were worthless.
Attitude towards older colleagues
For the administration I guess? Good for them, bad for others.
Overall compensation for your work
A big zero for all of us that cared the most.
Office / Work Environment
Toxic at the time
Seems to be loosing traction.
No way, not here, its a roll of the dice, people make careers on taking out good people. Unethical tactics to take down a great director, who served the participants.
For the participants it was.
Work was fine, politics and predator tactics were not, Admin should have backed up this person who was the director as she did the right thing and always cleared all decisions with administration. Under the bus is where the director went when times got tough.
Inclusive / Diverse
Program was good but leadership was unfair and non-supportive when they should have stood up.
Suggestions for improvement
- Treat good people with respect and back them up, don't sell them out.
What I like about the company
The program had good entertainment and the participants seemed to be happy, I liked working with them. I helped with the survey,
What I dislike about the company
ethics, politics and a lack of professional conduct by people who must be professional. I ended up being next on the hit list, I was a caring, dedicated and successful employee who was set up and driven out just like this great director. Its a big game for the leadership, shameless and self serving.
