- The Service Fort13.Feb 2019
The company all & all of the employees worked & presented themselves all as a United force ready to get the job done.
Each week teams would alternate so that everyone eventually had worked with everyone & knew each other & could feel comfortable & able to work on any team.
Freedom to work independently
They absolutely trust the employees to work independently because the majority of the workday consisted of us breaking off into teams & then dividing again once in those teams to make sure all of the areas we needed to take care of, were covered.
My bosses always made sure to communicate with the whole team all together every night before we got started & made sure each team/group knew where they were going & had what they would need.
The women were treated fairly. But the women did have completely different & separate jobs than the men.
Attitude towards older colleagues
All employees were treated with the same respect & opportunities
Office / Work Environment
Air conditioning & vending was always provided. The break room was only for management though so everyone else had to sit on boxes or the floor while waiting for the cue to start working.
Part of our job was to pick up any trash we saw so concern about litter was always made known.
Our hours were only at night which provided us the whole day to have before we would have to go into work so I think they provided a decent suitable balance.
I was proud of the money that I was making, not necessarily the specifics of my job.
My position was stable but the job was only for the length of the baseball season.
I never received any accident prevention training, only the basic training for the job I was doing.
Some days were more challenging than others, especially on the weekends but overall, it was never something I felt like I wouldn't be able to get done.
Inclusive / Diverse
I don't want to say that they didn't value diversity but our jobs were the same every night so everyone knew exactly what to do & where to go so there weren't really opportunities for input.
Suggestions for improvement
- I would add a break room & provide employees with breaks to take in the break room.
What I like about the company
The best part of my experience working there was the liberation it gave me because it was a well paying job & it helped me move forward a little bit more in life than I would have been able to had I not been working there. It also gave me a sense of pride & purpose bc the work wasn't necessarily always easy & neither were the hours so everytime I would finish a shift, I would be happy & in a good mood bc I knew that I was just sitting at a desk all day to make my money. I was actually working hard, through the sweat & the sore feet & back & I felt like what I earned at the end of the week, showed that & it always gave me a sense of accomplishment.
What I dislike about the company
The lack of receiving an actual break where we are able to sit down & eat & literally take a break from walking around the entire stadium, cleaning everything from top to bottom, non-stop until your done. The lack of a legitimate break room for non management employees.
