Morale has been very low for a long time. Advancement has more to do with befriending the right people and refraining from ever contradicting a superior. Salaried employees are especially vulnerable to abuse and termination.
Support from Management
It mostly felt like my superiors weren't interested in developing me. Some of the faculty were good people, but the majority treated me and other staff as a burden or an annoyance. I generally felt unwanted/unappreciated most of the time.
