Company Culture

Management damages the culture of the facility.

Support from management

Management gives zero support. The make excuses and blame their staff for everything.

Teamwork

This is encouraged

Freedom to work independently

Management micromanaged everything, and commits to poor ideas that don't work

Internal Communication

Management has horrible communication, and feel entitled to not give staff important information.

Gender Equality

It is primarily an equal opportunity job

Attitude towards older colleagues

This is true to some extent. But do to the nature of the job, you have to be physically able to do certain things. You would otherwise be a liability.

Career Development

There are opportunities to move up in the company

Overall compensation for your work

For the work that I endure, the pay does not make up for it.

Work-Life Balance

There is no balance. Your expected to put the job above your family.

Company Image

He has changed the nature of The company in a way that I don't believe in the work that I am doing anymore

Job Security

I feel as though my position is being phased out, and being taken over by other positions.

Workplace Safety

There is training, but it is inadequate, and we are not given a safe work environment.

Challenging Work

It is a high stress job that is both physically and mentally draining

Inclusive / Diverse

Staffs thoughts and opinions are not valued or heard

Suggestions for improvement

  • Staffs voices need heard, and actually listens to. The entire culture of the campus needs to change, people need to feel respected and appreciated for the very hard job that they're doing. And new program across the campus needs implemented, that actually works, is effective, and productive. Proper accountability across the board needs taken.

What I like about the company

The team you actually get to work with, hands on, is good. And on the occasion that you feel like you've been able to help someone and make a difference, that's great.

What I dislike about the company

All of management, as well as the entire program that they are trying to implement and run.

Company Culture

I have a positive outlook on the coworkers that I work with directly, and that is it.

Teamwork

There is a lot of inconsistency in what management tells you.

Freedom to work independently

Employees aren't given the chance to provide insight and ideas

Internal Communication

There is a complete lack in communication

Gender Equality

There is equal opportunity for the most part

Overall compensation for your work

My position is paid well below what we should be, considering what we have to endure.

Work-Life Balance

Due to our significant amount of hours worked, along with undesirable shifts, and the large amount of mandatory meetings and trainings, there is no balance.

Job Security

This is a very unstable work environment, the turnover rate is embarrassing.

Workplace Safety

This is a very unsafe environment, it simply does not affect those who make decisions, so they are not motivated to change anything.

Challenging Work

It's a very mentally, ematonslly, and physically challenging job.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would make several improvements. I would improve the schedule for staff, find it within the budget to raise pay for certain positions, implement programs that are productive and beneficial, use staff as resources not pawns, treat staff like people and not expendable items...there are many things I would do.

What I like about the company

You have the opportunity to touch and help lives, and when this happens it feels really good, and you really feel like your making a difference.

What I dislike about the company

The training, poor management, low pay, lack of support and appreciation for employees, unsafe work environment, fear tactics used...

Company Culture

The culture is terrible. Nobody is really working there with actual care for the job. It's a check. It's high school. Gossip, lies, factions, and nobody takes accountability for their actions.

Support from management

Management is just sheep leading sheep. Communication is awful and decision making usually only involves a few people, who typically make the wrong decisions. Over and Over.

Teamwork

No team work. Anybody can get hired over there now a days, although they claim you need to be qualified. Then essentially it will be the same three people doing all the work because nobody is willing to help out or has the ability to help.

Freedom to work independently

Yes. You can do anything you want independently depending on who you are. Some people won't even get in trouble for doing their own thing. Others, will probably get in trouble for doing the right things.

Internal Communication

Terrible. Pretty much sums it up. You can't make this up.

Gender Equality

Women used to run this place. Still do. If you're a woman and can't handle this job you might get promoted. Bonus if your pigment is light. If you smile and dress cute you have a chance to join management.

Attitude towards older colleagues

No. They styles are outdated and they cannot comprehend the new generation so upper management usually cuts them loose in some type of way r tries to hide their inconsistencies.

Career Development

No, no, and no. Unless you know the person that is hiring you, you are hired and looked at as a slave only. You can get a raise if you complain or cry. Threatened to quit automatically gets you about a three dollar raise. No lie.

Overall compensation for your work

Benefits are pretty good. You're not compensated fairly for what you do. Better not be good at your job either, you'll hear all type of excuses on why you're stuck where your at.

Office / Work Environment

The work environment can be as good as you want it. But, seeing nobody can really handle their job responsibilities, they programs are usually a mess until the "heads up" visitors are on campus.

Environmental Friendliness

N/A

Work-Life Balance

You have to work every hour possible as staff is low for 10 months of the year. The company does not care about your personal life, health, family, or anything outside of the job.

Company Image

I loved working here, honestly. But for the people I worked with, nope. The president is a good person though.

Job Security

Your job is safe as long as you want it. Unless something happens where they need a scapegoat and then you may be used as sacrifice. If they like you they'll make sure you don't get in trouble, you know how that goes.

Handicapped Accessibility

They don't even provide the necessary tools for the kids to succeed let alone for disabilities.

Workplace Safety

Pretty safe. Unless you're scared of the kids, which I saw on several occasions.

Challenging Work

The work can be challenging to those who cannot work with people or defiant kids. If you can handle that the job is a piece of cake.

Inclusive / Diverse

Diversity has gotten better, but the respect for diversity is still low. Very low. The atmosphere doesn't support diversity. You can even see this through the clientele. Kids who come from diverse backgrounds are treated like they come from the jungle. This is by the schools, workers, and any employee who has to be one on one with a kid. Can't make this up.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Start over. Invest in kids. Get some therapists in there to help kids and stop making up therapeutic groups that don't help anybody.

What I like about the company

Working with youth. Benefits. Daily freedom to an extent.

What I dislike about the company

The lies. The confusion. The lack of talent they try to keep. The bullying that goes on behind the scenes.
