Overall a lot of veterans in the company, great overall atmosphere, within my department complete opposite.
Support from management
The company did NOT set realistic expectations, communication was not good. I was subject to insults, talked down to & intimidation, which is the opposite of great support.
Coworkers were very eager to help & very patient.
Freedom to work independently
Coming in I made the company aware there would be a need of training for the work required. I made clear my background & was told this not a problem...but it was.
Communication was poor. I would be told to do something then later be reprimanded for doing as told. Communication made this particular department a hostile workplace.
I was told the person in my position prior to me was also treated similarly to myself.
