Direct management at the hotel is fantastic and responsive to all needs of the employees while being fair to guests
Suggestions for improvement
- Allow a more flexible budget for repairs and for updating employee spaces. We would like a dedicated break room that isn't in the laundry room where it gets really warm. Please also consider allowing more than one staff member on site at a time after 4pm- some times the front desk needs help juggling requests and issues but since there's no one else there, it's also a challenge to be at the desk to greet people and check people in too.
What I like about the company
The General Manager is always available and willing to help on the front lines, whether it be on the desk, with housekeeping, or breakfast. The Staff are all friendly and quick to respond to any needs that anyone may have. There is such a great atmosphere of support and growth fostered by empowerment. The GM really does want to see everyone grow and do great.
What I dislike about the company
Please stop being so concerned over payroll numbers- sometimes overtime is unavoidable as people get sick and staff is limited as to who can be called in.
