Support from management
Leadership is very bad. goals are metrics driven. you are constantly compared to your coworkers on a daily basis. in effect you are bullied
Employees in my department thought there was nothing else to learn. They worked with closed minds and a know it all attitude. Very bad
Freedom to work independently
Most of the time you are micromanaged
Informed but also compared to other facilities. You are pitted against one another in an effort to bully you into doing better
There are women in management and supervisory positions. But I don't know if the salary is the same as a man's
Attitude towards older colleagues
Tiffany's seems to be hiring all young people. They are getting rid of all the older loyal people who really have the skills and the knowledge to perform the job tasks.
They want you to be a robot. they try to keep you down in your place. No advancement opportunities
Overall compensation for your work
Starting salary ok but don't expect decent raises. They are not there. They claim there is no money in the budget for raises.
Office / Work Environment
Management will just up and relocate your work space without any thought or consideration of the worker. They give you smaller space, less comfortable space less ergonomically correct space. They rip down walls and put up new ones without consideration of the heat or ventilation system.
Overtime in voluntary, yet they look down upon you if you refuse. They expect you to drop everything and work OT when it is convenient for them. and chase you out when it isn't
Company has a great image. It is nothing but a glorified sweat shop
No job security. you can be fired for anything at any time
No handicap accessibility in bathrooms. or to the 3rd floor. must go up and down stairs,
Very safe to work environment
Work is not a challenge when you are forced to be a robot
Inclusive / Diverse
It's their way or the highway.
Suggestions for improvement
- Change Management and Management style. Don't keep denegrading employees who come in day after day in an effort to do a good job. Get rid of the metrics system and numbers will rise. Don't pit facilities against each other. Make English the language spoken in the company. And stop the bullying.
