My teammates and I have a great culture. Everyone gets along and works great together
Support from management
There could be more support for us mostly on the weekends, when management isn't around ever.
They encourage everyone to work well together on all lodges and not just our own
Freedom to work independently
We do have a lot of opportunity to work independently
Sometimes we don't hear about changes until they've been happening for a while.
Well, we're a female only facility, so they mostly hire woman, but when they do hire a man, everyone is treated fairly
Attitude towards older colleagues
They have people on the safety and transportation that have been there for many years.
There is opportunities to become a manager, but seeing how they are treated, I wouldn't accept
Overall compensation for your work
It's not comparable with other places/hospitals
Office / Work Environment
the temperature is always messed up and we really need to go to electronic charting and stop doing everyting by hand.
We use paper charting and waste so much paper instead of recycling it. It's a big shame
Sometimes we get too many calls/texts about picking up shifts when we are off
Nurses are always needed
They do offer traning programs and seminars to help stay up to date
I'm a nuse and don't always have the tools/staff to support me
Inclusive / Diverse
they ask for our opinions but don't usually go with what we offer.
Suggestions for improvement
- I would have a few days throughout the year that the employees can all get together for some team building fun. Also, I would make sure that there is always some sort of supervisors that are available 24/7.
What I like about the company
I have been able to grow as a nurse and watching the women grow and heal is amazing. There is usually help from management when needed, but not always. I help out when I can and offer my time to do things that are on my time off. My co-workers are amazing and we are basically a family there.
What I dislike about the company
They really need to consider going to electronic charting because of the possible errors from doing everything on paper. They also need to have more support for the employees when something happens and support is needed.
