I've worked at other tax resolution companies where employees customers were treated as replaceable numbers. At Timberline, they are interested in more than profit. And it shines through in how customers are taken cared for.
Support from management
We as run of the mill employees are encouraged to give feedback, and treated as human equals, not just as some subordinate peon.
I've worked other places, where other employees are jealous of others success, even to the point of sabotage. At Timberline, we truly are all on the same team-working together to help our client in tough spots. It is a business, and the goal is to be profitable. But the important thing is that every client wouldn't hesitate to recommend us.
Freedom to work independently
Mgt only hires people that don't have to be "babysat." We are all adults, have different talents/weaknesses and something different to bring to the table. Nobody acts above anyone else, or take clients for granted.
Open door policy with all mgt. I feel that any concern I bring-will be considered, addressed & right decision will be made for the good of the company.
Without question, theres more women, than men at Timberline & there's no glass ceiling, whatsoever.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Without exception, everyone pulls in 1 direction. We encourage, motivate & watch after each other. And co workers are truly happy to see others succeed. As I stated before, that wasn't the case at other places I worked at in this industry & others.
You can be as successful, as you are willing to work & grow. But our personal growth is secondary to doing what's right-for the company & clients.
Overall compensation for your work
Everybody thinks they should make more. (even pro athletes!) But I know I'll be treated fairly. And empowered & supported to succeed. Nothing worth doing, ever happens overnight though & there are no short cuts.
Office / Work Environment
No issues here.
Not really applicable much, although we do recycle some office products-whenever possible. The most important part of this, is how important safeguarding personal info is at Timberline.
There have been times where I had family stuff come up.Without hesitation, the company told me to take care of what I needed to, first & foremost.
Our customer & BBB ratings say it all. Unlike other places I've worked, we encourage clients to check us out & do their homework. Which is why we are so proud of our 100% money back guarantee. Other places I worked, this wasn't always the case-as sad as that clearly is,
There are no guarantees in life. But I know if I give all my effort and do my best, that reciprocal effort & support will be provided to help me, our company & all our clients achieve our goals.
Our building complies with all applicable state/US laws. Maybe I'm nieve, but I can't imagine this isn't the case at most places-in 2017, in the USA. I'm not handicapped, but I've never worked anywhere that this wasn't the case.
We had 1 minor security issue once, and mgt handled it professionally, calmly
Nothing better than helping a client out, & deliver on promises-they weren't even initially convinced-that were possible.
Inclusive / Diverse
As stated before, we really are treated like family & a team-not as beneath mgt/ownership,
