Most of the employees are parents or grandparents that have children or grandchildren at the school.
Really not any activity or meetings that had interaction between employees
Freedom to work independently
Most of the time you were on your own in your classroom
Very rarely was there communication unless it was the negetive kind
majority of the teachers are female
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most of the staff is older employees
Office / Work Environment
The school is old and full of mold.
the recycle bins are there, but not much emphasis placed on recycling
The hours allowed for plenty of home/family life
currently working only temporary
the school is not completely up to date
Sometimes there are meetings, but not employees participate
working with children is always a daily challenge
Inclusive / Diverse
Nothing really new and no meetings to share ideas or suggestions
Suggestions for improvement
- Bring the building up to date and code. Have more employee events. Offer benefits to employees in order to maintain employees.
What I like about the company
Working with children and helping just one child or more, then you know you can leave your day and that you have done something.
What I dislike about the company
The building is old and musky. There are not a lot of benefits for the employees.
