I had long term employment and there is no pension. I was given 20 days severance pay with no reason for lay off.

The company culture is purely numbers driven. Close out your route as low as you can as long as your account past dues are 6.9:% or lower. If it's above that 6.9% it's going to be a discussion about your performance.

Not important until you make a sale without training!

Went out 3 times with a manager. Didn't make a sale in a week and was told the leads were recycled. Other agents in the office had the same leads so customers irritated about being called many times.

Didn't want us to talk to each other in fear we would figure things out! Mandatory Monday and Thursday in office.

Good image but beware choose a great office with helpful people

Job Security

They don't tell you that if you don't make a sale in 30 days you get a letter terminating contract. NO notice and NO conversation trying to help with training or leads.

Challenging Work

I was excited to get in and get going> I was great at this, still get calls from customers with questions, but this particular office was not good for a beginning Life agent!

Aflac is a better company! They have marketing behind them and the tools to get he job done correctly.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Don't pump people up with false promises that you don't deliver on. It is a difficult job without much training or promised GOOD leads.

What I like about the company

Good Products and a definite need for insurance. You need to get in with a good manager or you will sink!

What I dislike about the company

Bringing people in on false pretenses. Some quit current jobs to work here and promised expenses paid, license reimbursement and warm leads but once in the field learned none of this was true. I had 176 appointments and made only 3 sales! Most were over 80 years old (or older) or had been seen within the past year. ended up costing more then I was making.
