This company does not care about anything, customers included, other than making money for their pockets.
Support from management
Management was always belittling and very rude. They spoke down to just about everyone and never once would give a compliment. They always acted better than you.
Everyone is out to get you. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because I actually made 2 really great friends while I worked there and am still great friends with these girls!
Freedom to work independently
You were told to go out and do things, but then you were called or text (on your personal phone) every 5 minutes asking where you were and when you would be done.
I had to call my store manager while I was walking up to someone's door during field visits so he could hear me knocking and talk to the person at the door. Always micro managed and never trusted to just do your job.
Everything was always changing. Rules and guidelines were never the same from week to week.
There was a dress code. It was an unwritten rule that ladies needed to dress up (in a dress, not pants), wear heels, and makeup to look "nice and welcoming" for customers, but especially when upper management would visit. UPPER MANAGEMENT WERE ALL MEN!
I guess this is why everyone was sleeping around with everyone else.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They wanted there women who worked there to be younger and dress younger.
I did receive 2 promotions and a slight raise. The work I was required to do did not add up to the compensation.
Overall compensation for your work
This is absolutley laughable.
Office / Work Environment
There was a hole in the ceiling that had mold in it. Birds and other animal would come in the office.
In one office the backroom would flood every time it rained.
In another office the ceiling actually collapsed in from a leak that wasn't fixed.
No security lights.
Nobody cares about these things here.
Terrible! My children were smaller and in elementary school while I worked here. I was never able to go to the school functions. I was lucky if I got home one time a week in enough time to see them for 30 minutes before they had to be in bed. There is no such thing as a "work-life balance" with these awful people.
Nobody likes this place. I was ashamed to tell people where I worked.
This is also laughable. I worked at this company for 6 1/2 years and they decided to close the office I was in. They offered me a pay cut and a demotion and told me that was the only way I can keep my job. Seriously? No thank you! Better off without them.
No. I had to take my customers paperwork to them in their car.
None. (See above)
Ceilings caving in, holes, roaches, flooding, mold, etc.
Can be at times. The worst thing, other than dealing with the other things mentioned, was talking people into borrowing money when you knew they couldn't pay it. I had customers that needed their medication, like insulin for example, but couldn't get it because they were paying back all this money with such a high interest. People were always terrified about losing their vehicles.
Inclusive / Diverse
You were only included if you were a brown nose or is you were sleeping with the bosses. I know I turned down advanced from a few of people.
Suggestions for improvement
- This company just needs to go out of business. Period.
What I like about the company
In Decatur, Al, it started out not as bad because of the people I worked with. I really did like 2 of the people and we got along great!
However. With a lot of turnover and changes, and the greedy "uppers", it quickly turned into a nightmare.
What I dislike about the company
Everything. They are deceitful, crooked, money hungry individuals who care nothing about anyone or anything. All they care about is who is going to make them the most money, regardless of how it is done.
