Many are great, some are not so great

mostly, however I feel we would do better as a team if there were more full time positions available, which would significantly reduce the extremely high turn over of part time persons
clear communication is the expectation

trustworthy persons are trusted, non trustworthy persons are watched more carefully
mostly, but there are some challenges
at the store level, it matters not your gender nor your ethnic background. If you can do the job, you can get hired.
Attitude towards older colleagues
some older persons do not have equal opportunities as they are no longer equal to younger persons. Older persons with challenges are given appropriate tasks
There are few opportunities, however they are filled from within whenever there is a candidate who will fit into the position.
Overall compensation for your work
corporations often fail to offer full time positions to those who are worthy, even though that means many people leave soon after being trained if they can find a full time job somewhere else.
Office / Work Environment
reducing the carbon footprint means colder winter settings and hotter summer settings. coats are not permitted on the sales floor, but are in the receiving dock. Water is permitted on the sales floor and receiving dock in hotter weather.
mostly very good, though the recycling company is not the best, once the trash leaves the building.
full time persons have this, part time persons often must work several part time jobs and do not have balance
I like my job, and my coworkers. It is, however, corporate, so the "standard" is to have mostly part time employees so that many of my coworkers do not have benefits. that portion is despicable.
Better than most, access is excellent.
Safety is eht expectation. Reporting unsafe conditions is the expectation. correcting safety hazards is usually very quick
getting called to register frequently leaves pushing merchandise to the floor undone

Suggestions for improvement
- Offer more full time positions with benefits in order to reduce wasted time on training people who are "tiding over" until they find full time. The waste of resources in training is astounding with such a high turn over.
What I like about the company
Fast paced, high expectations, and often a fun environment.
What I dislike about the company
Persons wishing to work full time and receive benefits must stick it out until one of the full time spots becomes available. The company has a very high ratio of part time positions without benefits. The corporate mentality prevails.
