Suggestions for improvement
- I think management needs to have more oversight and hold aides accountable for not doing their job properly. I also believe there needs to be more support given to the nurses and aides from office personnel as the job can be quite difficult. Scheduling also needs to be more consistent for the client's satisfaction.
What I like about the company
The job offered a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling, and I found that home care visits with my clients were pleasurable. I enjoyed that it offered something new and different everyday, and I had a lot of down time to complete paperwork.
What I dislike about the company
From management downward, there wasn't a whole lot of support for employees. Clients were often told incorrect times that a home health aide would show up, which would cause them to become frustrated with the company. There would be aides that wouldn't show up and then weren't properly reprimanded. The office employees were also prone to gossip a lot.
