You will find a very diverse bunch of people at Toyota.
Support from management
Depended on who you were. Our Maint. Mgr. Didnt even have experience in Maint. He came from the production floor.
Too many egos and judgemental people for a true teamwork environment.
Freedom to work independently
You sure could work independently. If they didnt like you, you were thrown to the wolves.
If youre not in the Cliche, you are sh*t out of luck.
It usually wasnt about gender. It was about who you knew.
Attitude towards older colleagues
If tou found someone truly helpful and not a backbiter, you better stick with them.
Dependa on who you know and make buddies with.
Overall compensation for your work
Great pay. Cut out too much on taxes and deductions
Office / Work Environment
Depending on what area you were in. Bodyweld dept. Sucked.
People were more apt. to backbite than say anything to your face.
I was in Maint. Dept. Overtime wastnt usually forced. It was volunteered. But you would be looked down on if you didnt work alot of it.
They keep their Image looking good
They dont layoff there. If they dont like you, they will find a way to fire you.
Not a good place for handicapped people.
They take safety over the top.
I thought the work was very easy. Production workers have it bad.
Inclusive / Diverse
They are all kinds there.
Suggestions for improvement
- Quit playing the politics game !Dont make it a favor game to promote within. Give everyone a equal chance. Treat everyone the same and be honest, helpful, and courteous.
What I like about the company
The pay was very good compared to other places.
What I dislike about the company
Management sucked. The overall environment sucked because the egotistical ,backbiting people made it a tough environment.
The following benefits were offered to me
