Suggestions for improvement
- listen to what the employees have to say that are working directly with the customers. I once heard one of the owners give a speech on products used in a competitors trailer that they do not use. he brought in what he kept on calling OSB when in fact it was particle board. and the competitors while they do use OSB it is not the same thing as particle board. If they are going to try to devalue the customers trailers in an industry where the majority of people who buy the product are in construction and know the difference in materials they they better get to know the materials them selves i could not and would not show customers that blatant lie. As well with this they micro manage everything that happens in the company at times i would feel like i should call to even use the bathroom. it didnt matter if you were getting your sales goals or not you had to account for every moment of time used on the lot. they dont trust any one and the turn over rate on the sales lots is quite high. if you do start adding on time then they just get down on you. although they have have room to grow, you would have to do so watching your step. i saw lots of managers go fast and i saw my own regional manager replaced 3 times in the two years that i was there.
I like about the employer
they paid alright for what it is, a sales job
