  • The standards for the call center are entirely too micro-managed and tend to make the interaction with our clients sound generic. Also, the grading system for call center employees needs to be more standardized.

What I like about the company

Management was always willing to work with employees on an individual basis, including attendance and scheduling issues.

What I dislike about the company

Customer Service dept is held to very high standards, but the rest of the departments are not. As a result, the customer facing side can often suffer low scores due to processing, sales, or other departments not completing their tasks on time.

  • Definitely train people longer and don't turn them loose so quickly.

What I like about the company

I made great money while I was there and worked with some really good people. There were trips available to earn but it was extremely difficult to earn them.

What I dislike about the company

I feel as though they don't train people enough before turning them loose, maybe because of high turnover.

What I like about the company

People are great. Directors are not. Everyone is typically willing to help others. Benefits kinda suck, which is too bad for an Insurance company.

The directors and their ever-changing vision that goes nowhere.

  • I don't think there is anything I would change in regards to their policies and culture except that they only offered a high deductible medical plan which was way too expensive to afford on my salary.

What I like about the company

I no longer work at transamerica but I have previous co workers that I'm still friends with today. The job itself on the phones gets tiring but they offered a lot of fun incentives. The pay raises were not great and there were a lot of tests that you have to pass in order to move up in the company.

What I dislike about the company

The pay raises and once the proper tests are passed the managers should let you go on to more responsibilities and new job titles right away.

  • More communication if you see a time for coaching provide that so we can better serve and support our customers, help each other we all have the same goal.

What I like about the company

I am able to share my knowledge and experience with my co workers and help them when they need it. I have scheduled off the phone time where I can work on projects of possible out bound calls to provide great customer service. We also have incentive programs running through out the month as goals for employees to work toward!

What I dislike about the company

Some departments are lacking communication or to be helpful to new employees or explaining certain situations rather than forcing them off into another department - on the spot coaching

Excellent managers who genuinely listen, and care about helping you do your best

What I dislike about the company

Communication between departments can get messy sometimes (discrepancies between the front end and processing, outbound getting backed up). While communication here is good, it could definitely be streamlined

Management was also just looking to hold onto their influence with no drive to improve or listen to and stand up for their team.

Nonexistent, all players focused on their position only.
