Support from management

Getting tool support can be difficult and management is strong enough to give strategic advise.

Teamwork

Strong inter department but terrible across departments so every department is work against each other.

Internal Communication

They have no internal chat system or email directory so if you need to contact someone, you will have to ask them for their email. Since you won't know the name of who you need to contact but there title , you for sure won't know where they site so you can never ask for their email. Very little communicating gets done.

I've seen plently of female coworkers idea overlooked.

Career Development

Very flat company that doesn't usually promote from within.

Overall compensation for your work

I am making over 20% more with the same job title.

Office / Work Environment

Very spartan office with mostly broken office chairs, never any office supplies, no windows for most of the office, plus not enough park for all of the employes.

Work-Life Balance

Plan to work at least 50 hours a week

Job Security

Polaris just purchased the company and everything was pointing to massive layoffs before I jumped ship.

Inclusive / Diverse

Very much an old white boys club.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I suggest Polaris to start cutting departments and rebuild from the ground up.

What I dislike about the company

The office is soul-crushing to work in and the constant change in direction/goals due to the sheer lack of planing from upper management is unbarable.

Teamwork

Strong inter department but really bad across departments.

They don't have the tech stack to automate most of their business.

Internal Communication

0 communication between departments. No one has any idea what is happening in the rest of the company.

Mostly male and seen female coworkers' ideas overlooked numerous times.

Career Development

No mentorships and very flat company so there is no where to get promoted to. Company is set up to be a stepping stone for those looking for more.

Office / Work Environment

Very spartan office with minimal windows, dirty white walls, old chairs that are falling apart, oddly heated/cooled, bathrooms are beyond gross and so is the break room.

Work-Life Balance

Expect to work long hour to adjust to the constant changes in goals and tactics on a weekly basis.

Workplace Safety

The office is safe enough but the warehouse has had numerous accidents.

Very much a white boys club when it comes to the management and who they like to hire.

  • I recommend Polaris industries (their new owner) to start laying off departments.
