Suggestions for improvement

  • The company I work for contracts us to work at the hospital. One minor change would be to make our payroll information more accessible by emailing it to us.

What I like about the company

The nursing support staff is amazing. They are delightful to work with and make my job so much easier. Every hospital should have such great and caring nurses, techs, and clerks.

What I dislike about the company

Every aspect of healthcare is getting squeezed by the affordable care act and Medicare cuts as well as by insurance companies in general. This means my staff and I are doing more work for less pay. It can be stressful. Overcrowding isn’t a major problem for us, but it costs lives at some institutions. Overcrowding is a symptom of health care cutbacks fueled by insurance company and Medicare reimbursement cutbacks and bundling. Patient satisfaction scores can affect hospital reimbursement for care also, punishing hospitals that are struggling already due to overcrowding, hospitals that desperately need funding to correct the overcrowded conditions.
