Suggestions for improvement
- Improvements would include higher pay, greater opportunities for advancement/upwards mobility, greater communication between Leadership staff and upper management, paid maternity leave, and greater overall coordination within the organization.
What I like about the company
Most Leadership-level employees are friendly and accessible. Staff often become as close as family. There is some opportunity for advancement within the organization for those who are interested. Personal/professional growth of employees is something that upper management cares about and will help employees to achieve. The company has an important mission to help individuals with disabilities, and it feels good to know that the work that we do is helping to further that mission.
What I dislike about the company
Pay is low for most positions, which is typical for this industry. Upper management can be unresponsive, which is frustrating and makes it hard to do your job competently at times. Managing/working with DSP’s who are unmotivated and low-paid can be extremely frustrating as well.
