Support from management
Management does not show equal importance to all areas within department.
Training is not valued. Tenure ship nor experience mattered when possible promotion possibilities were available.
Freedom to work independently
I am the only employee who does my job at the hotel, but I have additional responsibilities on a daily basis.
This does not occur within my department structure.
Results only are important in a few areas...not mine.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I have been employed at the Tropicana for 15 years without consideration for promotion, before and after recent change in ownership.
I have heard their vision statements, etc., but not seen promotions for particular individuals, not everyone who should have an opportunity.
Overall compensation for your work
My salary is below market value, expectations are much higher than monetary receipts, and benefits are average at best..Employee pay is on time as scheduled.
Office / Work Environment
Office presently under renovation for casino project. Employees are displaced throughout hotel for a minimum of 180 days.

Yes...Safety is a important element at our workplace.
Daily, I set goals to accomplish. I do the job of two at minimum (A/P and WHSE), so I value my time immensely. I have no back-up when I take time of, so my vacation is kept at a minimum.
