Suggestions for improvement
- Train to the employee, and let the ones who do well quickly move through the program faster.
What I like about the company
The food is good. They are innovative and the price point is decent.
What I dislike about the company
The way the corporate trainer insisted I could not be put on the floor having missed 1 day of training due to strep throat. Wanted me to start the training over entirely. This is ridiculous because I had just come from a texmex restaurant, having spent 3 years as a server/trainer/bartender and then 3 years as a manager. I scored perfect on my menu test and my trainer (who was a store manager) was asking for my help and my advice on my 2nd shadow day. I had upsells for this manager totalling nearly $1000 that day as well. He got in trouble for letting me take tables on my own, even though I did not make any errors. It was just ridiculous wanting me to start over being I already demonstrated the ability to do the job per their standard.
