upper managment walk in and automatically talk down to associates and never try and help when things go wrong.not trustworthy
Support from management
upper management were petty and spoke to store managers and associates like they were dirt.
Freedom to work independently
always short staffed and expected all things done before end of shift.
males make more then women in same positions with less time in
Attitude towards older colleagues
you can be fired for no reason you are always on edge
not much promotions within in new trainees come from internet with no store experience
Overall compensation for your work
lowest paying in the industry
Office / Work Environment
many safety issues besides robberies,ex;climbing on ladder 8ft to get stock or reset computers
never out on time,if someone doesn't show you ending up working another 6 to 8 hrs
company is not stable as upper management know nothing of everyday workday
vendors stack as high as they want and associates at times are lifting 40lbs down an 8ft ladder.saftey program is a joke because when issues are brought up it is on deaf ears.
Suggestions for improvement
- start with ceo down to district advivsor and start over with people who don't just care about the numbers and will increase pays to other convience stores so people will apply.
What I like about the company
the customers and associates even from other stores are like family
What I dislike about the company
never any praise from district and regional mangers, store managers always fearful and on edge.
