Support from management
Cell Leaders were great to work with. Programmer can be very detailed. Though very skilled and efficient, many times due to stress and pro-social communication a break down in efficiency is endured. Front office are constantly promoting growth, working hand and hand with clients gaining new contracts. Owner invest in the newest precision machinery to create quality products along with good technical support company. Front office lows are communication between projects and employees such as: timely material orders, generating work orders, employee relations & morale, and lack of detail in infastructure which puts employees at a disadvantage. They are doing multiple jobs also as a family owned company and this should be taken into consideration. They are also lenient in many aspects. This is a family owned business that is growing. So, many of the flaws in infastructure and front office views of employees comes with the territory.
Fellow employees do not mind helping and one of the best crews I've ever worked with. Floor Environment as far as the crew a cell leaders very positive and employee friendly. Expect breakdowns in some aspects of infastructure that may hinder teamwork at times.
Freedom to work independently
Independence is a pro, self-sufficiency is a must, and a relaxed environment on the floor in there for the most part. Quality is still #1. Stressful situations do occur for some more frequently than others.
If you enjoy a challenge and not mundane repetitive environment, then this could be a perfect job for you. You must show growth and a will to grow though. If not you will have mundane experience in this company. If you take pride in your work the projects you'll be involved in will leave you with a sense of accomplishment.
Suggestions for improvement
- Employees need 401k, better communications and detail to infastructure, improve front office and employee relations. Set a max pay and annual increase scale according to productivity.
- A company only goes and grows as far as the quality of its employees. An employee at a dead in is not a company at full potential. I really for the most part enjoyed my experience at this company and the founder and family have created a legacy. May it continue to grow and prosper for generations to come with humility.
What I like about the company
I absolutely enjoyed the crew. It's a relaxed atmosphere with guys that feel more like a brotherhood at times. You also can definitely learn more from this job than most to farther your career and add to your resume.
What I dislike about the company
There is a disconnect between front office/management and employees. You can lose your stability and livelihood based on communication or this disconnect. There is no 401k, no annual raises, and very minimal insurance. Employees go years without pay increase no matter your productivity. You can gain great responsibility with dedication but little to no reciprocation. Consequently if you inquire about pay increase you will experience negative atmosphere change and possible termination. For some no matter your productivity you can be a temporary employee for years.
