Employees don't like

The new merger gives us a moment of pause.
I don't have any dislikes about Ultimate Software. As noted, there's always room to improve, but that doesn't mean anything's wrong.
The only negative (which isn't even a major negative), is the lack of healthier food options when celebrations occur.
A lot of men in leadership positions
There's very much a work hard play hard, hard drinking culture. While we are encouraged to take time off, the workload and expectations sometimes make work life balance difficult. There's a lot of room and support for professional growth, both laterally and upwards, but few roles have anywhere to go up that's not a management position. While the total compensation is very reasonable, salaries are a bit on the low side, and there is significant inequality in salaries between high ...

Suggestions for improvement

Focus on customer service. Need more accountability with a handful of them who pass the buck or are unresponsive.
New employees should be trained on protecting what has made this company an amazing place.
Just keep People First in our new normal. Happy people make happy customers.
The biggest areas for improvement is to continue to tackle the challenge of gender equality and to improve on published career paths for all employees.
More uniformity as far as application use and development as the company grows.

  • You should hear back from one of our internal recruiters regarding your application within 1-2 weeks of applying. Every position has a different selection process/interview process, but you will likely go through a phone screen with the recruiter, then another phone interview with the manager or a coding test for technical positions. From there, you’ll come onsite to interview with the team, then you’d move forward to the offer stage.

  • You are more than welcome to submit applications to other positions you are interested in. You will need to answer a separate set of screening questions within our Applicant Tracking System, UltiPro, for each new position you are applying to.

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any paper applications or resumes. All candidates are required to apply online.

  • When your application is received, you will receive a confirmation email from our Applicant Tracking System. Your application will be reviewed by the Recruitment team and if you met the qualifications for the position(s), it will be forwarded to the hiring manager over the position. If you are selected to move forward, the first step in the interview process is typically a 20-30 minute phone interview with one of our Recruiters.

    Hiring time varies by department and location. If you are being considered for a position, you will be contacted by us. There is no need to contact us to check on the progress of your application. To view the status of your application, you can log into your applicant dashboard. All of the positions you have applied to will be listed, along with their current status. If a position is closed, you will receive an email informing you.

  • Job postings are updated in real time as they are received from the different offices, which is typically daily. Any job postings listed on our Careers page currently accepting applications.

  • Most employees dress in business casual or smart casual attire. For your interview, please dress in attire that is professionally appropriate for the position you are applying for. At Ultimate, we appreciate self-expression and personal style. If you have piercings, tattoos, or colored hair, come as you are. We celebrate diversity and uniqueness.

  • Know what position you are interviewing for and prepare questions in advance.

    Plan on being at your interview location 15 minutes before the start of your first interview.

    If interviewing for a technical position, ask your recruiter if there are any other ways to prepare. You may be asked to do a whiteboarding session, an onsite coding test, etc.

    Familiarize yourself with your interviewers and Ultimate Software by reviewing our various online websites and LinkedIn.

    Unless your recruiter specified any additional items, all you need is yourself. However, you may bring extra copies of your resume if you wish.
