They force the koolaide down your throat
Support from management
Yeah, they know it's terrible so they spend a lot of time fielding complaints and doing nothing about it. It's kind of their schtick.
It's all backstabbing and politicking
Freedom to work independently
So much bureaucracy, it's worse than working for the government
What you hear on Monday isn't true on Wednesday and by Friday you're not even sure if you're selling clothing anymore
Attitude towards older colleagues
Don't come here if you're over 30
You will never get a promotion, I promise you
Overall compensation for your work
As low is as possibly competitive, you're not going to get rich here
Office / Work Environment
Open floor plan misery
It's cordial until people start screaming in the hallways
They routinely wake you up in the middle of the night and act like this is normal
"Underarmour is a great place to work"... hahaha, sure
They fire entire departments on a whim, just ask the people who work in fraud detection... oh wait, where did they go? All of them
They usually have elevators?
I've never seen anyone physically injured on the job... mentally is a different story
For all of its warts, it's difficult
Inclusive / Diverse
If you're not white and athletic, you're not welcome
Suggestions for improvement
- Have your management treat people like human beings. Give some thought to work life balance. Stop lying about career advancement. Stick with a decision for more than 30 seconds, changing your mind so often is not being agile, it's being schizophrenic.
