It's getting better. For years this company has suffered from a militaristic type of feel. No news is good news and getting chewed out is your employee review. The culture is changing. Compliments that were once unheard of are beginning to find a place in the company that now has a much younger team than its had in the past.
Support from Management
2 stars because when you start off with a new career with this employer you will receive tons of support. Training and travel are completely covered and you will be part of a fantastic group of people. It's later down the road when the support tapers off. After you are assigned to a remote location and given loads of responsibility. That's when you are on your own. The middle management (directors) that should be taking responsibility to make sure their field managers are successful and have all the tools they need, just spend all day stuck in an office, communicating only through conference calls. They are given so much area to cover they never really get to any of it. Management in this company is spread so thin, wearing way too many hats, that they can't support their employees the way they need to.
