Support from management
There is absolutely no support from the management and a lot of unfair promoting happens just because someone is good looking not for their actual performance. All of the executive have to have their pretty female assistants with half a brain.
United claims they are always trying to make their employees better but really they don't care at all. As long as the executives get to take their time off and are not bothered they will never do anything about helping the ones that are on the front line giving the best customer service they can to make the place look good. This is a very hard thing to do with such a terrible employer as United.
Overall compensation for your work
The only good part of working for United is the very low cost for health insurance if you're unmarried and have no children. The salaries are very low compared to other banks and there hardly ever any increases and if there is it will be .17 cents at most. I was told I got the highest percentage of a raise in the entire market and it was .17 cents. To me this was unacceptable for all the work and time I was giving them.
This is the only thing they really care about. As long as they have nice looking fit women in the branches that think that's what matters. Not if the employees actually has half a brain or not.
Suggestions for improvement
- None! They should close this bank all together or hire all new executives all together. There's a lot of sexism and issues going on in that work place that's for sure!
What I like about the company
Absolutely nothing other than some of the friendships I made while working there.
What I dislike about the company
Everything! They have become one of the big banks and do not care about their employees at all. They have several execs that truly do not care about the people working for them. When I was interviewed the regional manager/vp told me "oh I thought I was driving here to interview a female not a young guy" I was the only person that ever had to go through an interview with him because he thought I was going to be a young girl he could check out like his usual MO. I should have known then it wasn't going to be good!
