What I like about the company

United offers the ability to move up in the company if you succeed in your current position.

What I dislike about the company

United does not offer a pay scale that is equal to all employees in the same position. Some are compensated way different than others that are in the same position.

Suggestions for improvement

  • First and foremost, they should offer more training classes for all the different positions. I would offer more pay to the employees that stay longer, no caps for certain positions. I believe the longer you've stayed with the company, you should be compensated for it.

What I like about the company

I enjoy making our customers happy. I work hard to know or learn every aspect of the business to better serve others. It's rewarding in itself, plus the benefits that come with the job are fantastic.

What I dislike about the company

The lack of communication and lack of training classes is the worst part. They show you the basics and then you gotta just figure the rest out as you go. Also, the pay could be better but they make up for that with the benefits.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Managers should be more firm with their employees. Freedom at work is a wonderful thing, but there are so many times that the employees are acting in ways that may hurt the company. Also, placing staff that are qualified in areas is crucial. Some departments are overlooked and used as a "dumping ground" for employees that have no where else to go.

What I like about the company

Having the freedom to run errands when needed. Knowing that if a family emergency arises, I will be encouraged to take the time I need.

What I dislike about the company

There is a lack of real management when it comes to employee behavior and performance. Employees are often placed in departments just to have somewhere to put them, when their performance is very lacking. Many times, employees are allowed to behave in ways that may not be entirely professional, or are not adhering to the dress code, but are not reprimanded.
