- Remove the current management and hire new that knows how to lead a team and grow their employees.

There was no opportunity for growth, as the Branch Manager does not share her 20+ years in the industry wisdom, and budgets for a skeleton crew. If you do your job well, then you acquire other employees jobs, as in managements responsibilities, because that is easier than writing up/firing the employee that is not doing their job. No one is held accountable, starting at the management level. The workload expected is based on a 12 hour work day therefore lunch breaks and breaks are unheard of. Yet the Branch Manager will come and go as she pleases since there is no one local she has to answer too. Corporate is in Denver, CO. You have to use your vacation time or loose it, and when you come back from vacation, no one on the team has done your job or even tried to keep you current in your responsibilities. There are more company policies then you will ever be able to remember and they are updated monthly in an email. They are not enforced, but there is an entire legal department employed by United Rentals. Employees are spoken poorly of in front of co-workers by management. You are micromanaged and ridiculed for any mistakes made. The bottom line is all that matters, not the people who work daily.
