Company Image

I was ashamed to work for the Headquarters.

Job Security

Constant downsizing affected the young. I finnaly took an early out.

Handicapped Accessibility

Very accesible for folks.

Workplace Safety

Seemed safe except for the black mold and all the cancer cases.

Challenging Work

Everyone was overpaid. High school students could do the work

Inclusive / Diverse

Workplace was diverse.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Fire the dead weight instead of doing nothing with them. There were people in the department that had no idea how to do a spreadsheet and they were in IT!

What I like about the company

Until I moved into the Headquarters (due to downsizing) I loved my job. Great projects, traveled all over the US working on classified projects. Supervised 60 personnel. Mentored several employees that went on to do great things.

What I dislike about the company

Senior management should not be allowed to be involved in giving contracts to people they will eventually work for. This includes military personnel. Ratings are giving on a bell curve. You may have 30 great people but only a handful can be awarded pro

Suggestions for improvement

  • There should be more incentives, rewards, and pay! Also, every job should have an equivalent in the civilian sector that veterans can easily transfer into the workplace. Some veterans are trained for a particular career field and get out of the military and are not qualified to work in the area they have been trained. I think this would help with the veteran homeless problem.

What I like about the company

I learned a lot about my job, interpersonal skills, leadership, and the list goes on. You have to make the best of it and challenge yourself to get the most out of the military.

What I dislike about the company

You do have to deal with some people who are power hunger with their rank and them telling you what you must do. Also, you don't get to choose what shifts to work and often have to put your family on the back burner when you're tasked.

Company Culture

Employees were not all treated fairly. There was a lot of special preference given to hiring employee spouses that were not qualified for the positions. They also created new positions that were 2 grades above other coworkers that were more qualified, but not allowed to apply & ended up training employees above them. Very unfair hiring practices existed that whether you were qualified it was who you knew who was hiring.
