Mean girls club culture prevents talented staff of both sexes for advancing. Poor vetting process used by C-Suite has disastrous results on organization.
Support from management
The supportive managers don't last too long in the mean-girl environment.
They know how to work together to raise funds. It's not done joyfully, however.
Internal communication processes are in place. The malicious content of the messages communicated is the problem: lying to your face, bearing false witness, rudeness, indifference.
Mostly females working at UW.
Attitude towards older colleagues
It's up to you to learn what you can, there's no company training offered for anything, and no company support for employee education.
Overall compensation for your work
Below average, except for the 6-figure top positions. They use "non-profit" as an excuse.
Office / Work Environment
Drama, & plenty of it.
Get mean, & you'll fit right in.
Four-day work weeks were allowed for part of the year.
It's a United Way, so it's respected even if most people don't really know what UWs do.
Forget about it.

Non-white faces don't stay very long.
Suggestions for improvement
- Raise compensation for the rank and file to competitive level. Learn how to properly vet managers. Support training & ongoing education of staff.
What I like about the company
Helping community members in need.
What I dislike about the company
No willingness to coach & train staff to work together in a harmonious fashion. Mean-spirited clique has undue power.
