Support from management

Almost non-existent. If things are going well you won't hear from them. If a complaint is made you're pulled. Your willingness to cover your coworkers shifts is not a concern for management. You do it or you risk losing your job.

Teamwork

Mixed bag. If this was a game I would recommend praying to the RNG.

It's a job you take when there's nothing else or you are retired.

Overall compensation for your work

Bad pay, but an equivalent amount of work. Usually.

Office / Work Environment

Can't really be blamed on company, as they only contract the guards. It's the client that provides the work environment.

Work-Life Balance

If your boss likes you, any day you want to take off can be inflicted on your coworkers. If you are not liked, you get told to show up or lose your job. You can't turn down overtime. Company is supposed to have rovers; people that cover shifts. They don't have enough, don't have them trained/badged at high profile sites that need them, and overwork the few they do have.

Most employees I've spoken to are using company as a waiting point.

Pretty stable.

They try to match you to a job you can do. To an extent.

It's security work. Usually pretty simple.

Depends on your supervisor.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Hire more rovers, be more proactive with them, and quit overwhelming them.

What I like about the company

If you get pulled, they will usually try to find another location for you...unless you mess up extravagantly.

What I dislike about the company

They do not have your back, ever. They only want to make sure the checks continue to roll in.
