Respect for RN's coming from different companies was poor. It's as if you only have respect if you came through as a beginner.
Suggestions for improvement
- Make sure that "team leaders" are called what they are "direct supervisor". Give new RN's benefit of doubt, hear their logic for patient care instead of listening to gossip or biased accounts of that RN. Do not expect RN's to give "Placebos". Make doctors give placebo if RN thinks it is unethical. Make it acceptable to be a part of patient rounds with doctors present and nursing issues heard. Make each RN responsible for functioning IV's at the end of shift.
